Finch: Bird Taxidermy

This wall hanging features a real preserved bird skin mounted onto a vintage silver tray. It has a loop on the back for hanging or could look nice in a picture/plate holder on a shelf. The birds I use come from a taxidermist who only uses animals who died of a natural or accidental death (like roadkill or from flying into a window), no animals are killed for these pieces. These birds are professionally processed and preserved, but since they are all birds that were unfit to become full taxidermy mounts each has slight flaws. They mostly just have messy feathers which I think looks great with the aged and tarnished trays to give a more ragged and natural look.

This display measures roughly 12.5 x 6 inches.
The bird is a Finch.
