This is a real Rhinoceros Beetle specimen that has been altered with gears and clockwork pieces to look like a mechanical insect. It is mounted into a black shadow-box frame with filigree corner accents and a multi-tone teal background. This shadow box is thick enough to stand on its own on a shelf for display, but it also has hangers on the back to display it hung on a wall.
The box measures roughly 8 x 6 x 2.5 inches.
