Moonstone Morpho Butterfly - Antique Frame - Burgundy Velvet & Black Glitter

This rare antique frame contains an unbelievably stunning Pearl Morpho butterfly on black glitter under convex glass. This species of morpho has incredible iridescent color that is hard to truly capture in photos. It can look white from one angle and bright blue from another (see last photo for how blue it can be). I have started calling them "Moonstone Morphos" as my own little nickname because they remind me so much of the blue iridescent flash you see in moonstone. The inner circle of the frame is surrounded by crushed velvet and the ornate gold outer edge is a type of resin cast material. Truly a unique piece, I've only had one other of these type of frames before, they're difficult to find.
Frame is roughly 14x15 inches.
